BELIEVE IT!

One of my favorite stories involves Manzo and PJ. The story is a little fuzzy from the years, but basically Manzo and PJ were sitting at the diner. PJ was doing his (and our) usual bust on Manzo routine, when Manzo predictably started to get his rage. Eventually, after warning, Manzo decided that he was going to headbutt PJ. And he did.

PJ cried out "I can't belieeeeve my friend would do this to me" to which Manzo responded (in his most bellow-ous Manzo voice):

BELIEVE IT!

There is debate as to whether this was what caused PJ's bump on his nose or whether it was some kind of sparring incident in Boston. But I've learned enough to believe whatever Manzo says. To this day, it's one of Manzo's underused catch phrases, right up there with "I'll take two, THE RYE!"
